"Excellent Everything at Excellence Playa Mujeres !"
My husband and I only regret that our stay was not longer! We were celebrating our Anniversary, and from the moment we arrived it was truly a celebration. The Anniversary banner on our door, the champagne placed in our room each night, fresh fruit, and the service and attention were awesome! We are definitely going back!

"Nice hotel, friendly staff, but food is just ok"
Went with husband and baby. Because it is a new resort, everything is pretty nice when it comes to pools and areas near the beach. The staff was extra friendly. One minor downside was the room service did not understand my requests half of the time, so I would either just forget about it try desperately several times. We had a room with a private pool. Honestly the way it looks, the pools are not so "private" because you can look into your neighbor's pool and pretty much everyone could see you if they wanted. It wasn't so bad because there weren't that many people on the resort. However, if you are coming here for peak season I probably wouldn't have taken this option. There doesn't seem to be much difference between a room with a private pool and swimup rooms. One complaint is that the floors and shower are super slippery because they would get wet from us coming in and out from the beach and pool, so I had to keep an eye on our baby like a hawk. Now for the worse part. The food...could use massive improvement. The only decent restaurant was Brass Steakhouse. We weren't able to try the French restaurant because it was adults only. Poo~ (and it was my birthday too!) The food was just mediocre and I hope they do something about it. No body seemed like the beach, which was good for us. There was a lot of seaweed, but it was not at all a problem.

"This hotel is right on the beautiful beach ."
We just wanted some down time in the sun and this was the perfect place. I have always wanted to stay at a Ritz-Carlton and felt that in Mexico it might be affordable. Our room was $215 per night which was a special rate. The food was extremely expensive so they didn't lose money on us. It was our first visit to Cancun and we really loved it. We took a tour to Chichen Itsa which was wonderful. We took the bus to town...good market. Took a cab to the Mayan ruin just south of the hotel. All the people we met were friendly.

Great place. Food is okay but Great for Mexico. Will cost as much as or even less than the similarly rated all- inclusive hotels. Great deal. Amazing Spa. Great message!

"Best All-Inclusive Ever Stayed At"
I have a confession: when I told friends that I was going to Cancun, they turned up their noses because the city has a college-drunken-party reputation. I was traveling with my extended family, including small children, so this seemed like an odd destination for us. The Beloved proved them all wrong! It was the nicest, classiest, cleanest, prettiest beach all-inclusive that I have ever stayed in. Clearly, the managers have thought of everything. The rooms are clean and very well-organized. The beds are comfortable and the mini-bar stocked with name brand liquors. There is even a little cubby to put dirty dishes in when you are finished so that you don't have them cluttering your room! We upgraded to a room with a small private pool and loved it! The beach was amazing with miles of soft white sand that was raked each morning. It is against hotel rules to reserve beach lounge chairs so it was always easy to find a place to rest in the shade or sun. The water was clear and clean, and it was easy to check out water equipment. I paddle boarded for the first time, and loved it! Jose and Jorge went back and forth from the bar to the beach (all day long!) bringing us delicious drinks. The hotel recorded that we were vegetarian when we checked in, and brought us a vegetarian menu in each restaurant (4 total) that we went to. It was easy to eat fresh and healthy, or decadent, at every restaurant and meal. Note that you have to dress up for dinner so pack accordingly.

"Must read on Le Blanc (Nov. 2013)"
I'm generally not inclined to write reviews, although I read them religiously, but my experience at Le Blanc required an exception. First to set some expectations, readers should know (1) I'm married - late 30's (2) Fortune 25 executive  (3) from the Northeast - NJ and (4) preferred hotels are Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and St. Regis. I rarely have non-business related travel so a vacation (away from our toddler) is a real treat. Why we chose Le Blanc? Based on lots of reviews and additional research. I also exchanged notes with Andreas, the General Manager and was very impressed with his follow-up to my questions. What we really liked? Everything! You will truly be spoiled at this Resort. A honeymoon suite or better is a must and I would recommend suites 803 - 811 (8th Floor) - these rooms have ocean views. Hugo was our favorite Butler and very eager to make our vacation as wonderful as possible. What we really loved? The Food The Italian restaurant (ask for Gabriel to ensure exceptional service) was out of this world. The shrimp risotto changed my life and my husband still dreams about the veal osso buco. Israel, the Manager, ensured each dinner was better than the last. We ate there four times during a 7 day vacation! A very close second to the Italian was the Oriental Restaurant (ask for Reynaldo, he will take excellent care of you). The grouper and sushi were     noteworthy. The Spa I've enjoyed spa services around the world and was very impressed with all of my treatments at Le Blanc. The space is really gorgeous and truly relaxing. I would highly recommend, Leleni and Sara for the couples romantic massage. The Spa prices are expensive($350) for 60 minute couples massage and the resorts credits are capped at $500 out of the $1500 resort credit promotion for spa use. Despite the cost, I plan on adding another massage during my next trip due to the high quality of service and technique. I also had a shellac manicure but for $100, would probably just opt to upgrade to a facial. Room for improvement / "Opportunities": Rooms The rooms are well appointed with very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the pillow menu and dual shower heads. I did notice some "wear & tear" in the shower area (rust) as stated by another Reviewer but it was superficial and minor. Breakfast at the International Restaurant The breakfast at the International Restaurant was very average. I think room service was better for breakfast. They have a smoked salmon trio which was fabulous day or night. We enjoyed the buffet lunch at the International Restaurant  6 days in a row. Travel Tips for Le Blanc: 1. Floors 6 -9 ocean view / Honeymoon Suites have the most spectacular views. The Third Floor is all smoking and if you suffer from allergies, the lagoon can be brutal. We took some photos in the lagoon and that evening I had a terrible sinus headache. 2. Pass on the Palace Resort sales pitch breakfast. In my opinion, the other Palace resorts fail miserably in comparison to Le Blanc. In addition, sales people like Miguel reflect badly on the entire Palace brand. 3. Spa reservations fill quickly so make them, as soon as, you arrive. 4. Although tipping is not required or expected, I brought 100 dollars in 5's and 150 dollars in 1's. The Le Blanc staff make this resort 5 stars so please appreciate their amazing service. 5. Pre-arrange your hotel transfers, prior to the trip, details are contained on the Le Blanc website. We found the less expensive ($86 round trip) group transfer very adequate versus ($200) private car. 6. Be prepared to be treated like royalty! From the lavender aromatherapy in the lobby to the frozen Hawaiians poolside, relaxation, amazing photos and a zen like peace are abound at Le Blanc! See you there. Sent from my iPhone
