"Great staff, clean room. Poor blackjack odds"
We had a good experience with the staff and the room.  The hotel is a little dated, but clean.  It is centrally located for south strip activities.  If you like to play blackjack with good odds this is NOT the place to play, as is common with this end of the strip.  Their $5 & $10 tables are 8 deck, yes 8 deck, AND they only pay 6:5 odds for a blackjack.  We went to the Riviera to play as you can get $5 one deck tables that pay 2.5:1 on a blackjack.

"Needs just a few minor adjustments"
Second time staying here, this time in a west wing room, which I guess was updated recently. It was okay when I figured out the elevator system and good that I didn't have to walk miles from the elevator to the room. Could have used a bigger window, but for not spending much time in the room itself it was fine. Room was clean, shower was a little scummy but at least no hairs from previous guests. My biggest complaint is the resort fee, I can understand if someone is there on business, or absolutely needs to use what is included, but 84$ for 3 nights and I didn't use the wifi, gym room or get a newspaper(which was supposed to be part of this) even once it is a bit of a rip off. Charge those who actually use the services and give the money to those who would have probably just spent it your casino anyways...seems like such a money grab. I would have used the wifi more if I was told at check in that the resort fee was mandatory (Make sure you tell ALL your guests hotel staff, don't assume they already know)

"# TheOne fight weekend"
The visit to Vegas was fun.  NYNY hotel was a pleasant stay.  We upgraded room because we arrived before check-in time.  Upgrade cost us $20 for early check-in and $15/day for upgrade.  Not sure what our original room looked like but it was double beds.  Upgraded room was to a King size bed.  Our room had an outside angle (room #1450 in New York Tower) and had extra space. It made for an almost suite feel.  Casino was adequate.  Needs more Craps table.  Several eating options.  The pizza place upstairs in food court, near walking bridge, is delicious.  At night on Saturday the NYNY Casino bar had a club feel.  There was a live DJ spinning great dance tunes.  Also, GO-GO dancers in the casino on platforms.   Worst part of the trip was flying Spirit Airlines.  Whatever you do spend the extra $ and don't fly Spirit.  Spirit Airline is a terrible airline.  They try to upsell you, submit credit card offers, fees and restrictions on luggage, seats seem awfully close together, and do not accept cash on plane.  BTW they charge for everything even blankets.  Travelocity offered a free show with a 3 day trip.  Be sure to understand all of the offers completely.  The offer was nice but a bit tediouse to obtain.  Not sure if it was Travelocity or the MGM Grand Resorts that made it difficult.  But be warned read and follow directions completely.  Even after we did everything correctly the MGM Box Office was still ready to charge us for the show tickets.  We ended up going to the Hotel the show (KA) was at to pick up our tickets.  KA is great unless you have seen other Cirque de Soleil productions.  If so then it is just good.  Best thing about the show is the stage that can manipulated.  Awesome!!! "Vegas First Timer"
My fiancé and I decided to tie the knot in Vegas- we brought a group of 10 people with us and all stayed at Planet Hollywood- location is freaking fantastic!!! We were able to walk pretty much anywhere except to our chapel- but the limos are pretty cheap when split 3/4 ways! Hopping from casino to casino if you like gambling is super easy. I loved the mall (Miracle Mile Mall) it had nice shops that cater more towards the average person. My only real complaint- in the rooms themselves- dust, missing handles, burnt out lights. The upkeep is a little lacking, but as we weren't in the room all that much we looked past it. We had a fantastic time at Planet Hollywood- oh and if you like coffee Planet Dailes is the place to be- cheap, never ending, excellent coffee! ** Pink's hotdogs in Planet Hollywood is Awesome aswell. We will be back many times over.

"Great Location"
Great location, clean hotel rooms, however 2 things - 1) due to the fact you have to walk through the casino to get to your room like every other hotel in Vegas, you end up smelling like the wrong end of a cigarette ( disgusting ) 2) food/drink prices very expensive

"Great Experience"
It was a great trip! but $28 for wifi and fitness gym was waste of money. They said it's mandatory but no one goes to fitness gym in Vegas and the wifi was so slow it wasn't even worth it. Other than that mandatory fee the hotel is great. So many things you can do [Great Restaurants, Shopping Mall, Sight Seeing, Fun Games, Etc]. It was money well spent. Except that mandatory fee.

"Wonderful stay at Golden Nugget"
We stayed in a Gold Room on the 16th floor and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was large, décor was warm, and we were on the opposite side of Freemont St so no noise. Free water, peanut M&M's, jelly beans, and chocolate covered raisins. Rooms are dark, we found that peaceful, but if you like light bring lightbulbs! Elevators close to the front desk and the VIP lounge. Are check in was quick and check out was quick. Did have to pay a downtown fee, not much, and had to pay to print boarding passes (that's irritating - should be available in VIP lounge with no charge). We will stay here again.
