"Great Location...Wonderful Staff"
This hotel was in a prime location and had second to none hospitality. The staff were accommodating and extremely helpful. Our room was immaculately clean and well kept. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again without question. The Rooftop Bar and Noir Restaurant were absolutely gorgeous. My wife and I also got a free room upgrade from a King Suite to an Executive King Suite. Don't be afraid to ask for the free room upgrade when you check in. Enjoy your stay!!

"Perfect for classy NYC vacation"
Large, well appointed, well designed room with an equally impressive bathroom! You'll also get points with your friends when you mention where you're staying (if that's important to you). Another added plus: unrestricted access to the bar/club/lounge that seems to always have a line forming at the door. Also, not sure if you can beat the central location with the 4/5/6 stopping right on the corner. Nothing bad to say about our stay.

Clean, comfortable, efficient friendly staff, and a great location. Pricey but well worth the money.

"Hotel in desperate need of refurbishment"
I'm just home after 6 days at this hotel. For UN visits the location is unbeatable, and generally speaking I found it very well situated for my needs. The staff were generally very pleasant and friendly, and although the main lobby is very dated, I got a retro kick out of it. That being said: - My room in the east tower (the west tower has been refurbished) stank of stale musty carpet when I arrived, even with the AC on full blast. This was my main complaint, it was so bad I worried about the smell getting into my clothing. It would certainly be a dealbreaker for some people. When I went to reception and asked what could be done about it, the stony receptionist offered me 2 choices: pay an extra $80 per night for a room in the refurbished tower - nearly $500 to have a room that didn't smell - or he could send up a cleaner to "freshen up" the room. As it was late and I had to be up at 5 AM the next morning I opted for the cleaner, expecting possibly a carpet shampooer or something similar; what I got was a maintenance man with a bottle of Febreze. It was so tragic it was almost funny. In the end I opted to go and buy my own air freshener for the duration of my stay. - The carpet in the hallways and elevator landing were stained and discoloured and needed to be replaced about 20 years ago. - The walls and paint in my room and in the hallways were marked and dirty.

"Great location since it's close to Grand Central"
Stayed here for a short two day visit to the city. We were familiar with the hotel and location so there were no surprises. Beautiful classic grand hotel ambience. Rooms are not very spacious but better than some of the new boutique hotels I saw online at the same price. We had a two queen bed room. Very convienent to restaurants, subway lines and walking distance to tourist sites.

"Small hotel, very good for a short stay"
The room was very small but very well appointed. The staff was friendly and I was given a coupon for a free breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Because of the room's size (it was a "studio") I would not recommend it for a long stay or if someone wanted to spend a great deal of time in the room. It was very well located and there were many restaurants around. The staff was friendly and my reservation was ready and waiting when I arrived.

"Nice for Price"
I've stayed at Park South a few times and have always had a fine experience.  The rooms can be small but this is pretty typical in NYC hotels.  Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, and breakfast is included.  It's also a great location.
