"A bit overpriced, but very nice"
The amenities and the hotel are very nice, but the rooms can be on the small side at times. Not that it is unexpected in an older hotel. A nice place to stay on weekend trips to downtown Austin.

"Good hotel for both business or pleasure"
This is a good hotel. It's better than nearly any hotel in Austin. Being south of the river you will have a couple block longer walk to restaurants but the view can't be beat.

"Great location with nice comfortable room"
Ideally situated with the University of Texas campus to the north one block away. The stadium was close by just to the east. The amazing Bob Bullock Texas History Museum was one block to the southeast, with the capital about three blocks south of it. We stayed four nights, and ate at the Gabriel Cafe in the hotel twice, since we found the food so delicious. We paid the upgrade for a room with a king size bed and a balcony. It was great to watch the full moon rise and see families below play in the outside pool.

"Worth the price"
I don't usually stay in luxury hotels, but my wife and I splurged on this one. And I'm glad we did! The room was very fancy, as was the hotel campus. Definitely would recommend.

"Disappointed from expectations..."
My husband, 7yr old son and myself decided to make a last minute decision to stay in Austin for one night so I was trying to find a hotel located in the downtown area. The Hilton had a few rooms available and we were excited because we have never stayed in that particular hotel although we have seen it many times. From the exterior, the hotel and lobby were nicely decorated and clean but the room and hallways were a different matter. The carpet and wallpaper seemed old and our room was the biggest disappointment. The biggest complaint was dirty decorative pillows (white/dark stains), wax on nightstands, and headboards that were filled with nasty hand and/or feet marks!! Ewwww! Upon checkout, I notified the desk clerk of my complaints. I also think that the parking fee could come down some,$15-20.00 instead the $26. Overall, the price and location were great can't complain there but the plain decor and dirtiness of the room horrified me. I recommend for price and location but not in a hurry to go back. I expected more from the Hilton name, so disappointed!!

"WOW!!! I want to stay here again!!!"
The Four Seasons Austin is a magical place. The building and grounds are the best of the best. Austin is a beautiful city and the Four Seasons helped us to enjoy and experience this great city. We asked the Concierge what there was to do in Austin. He told us that he might be able to get us tickets to see Wicked. He did. The performance was sold out and was truely amazing. As great as the hotel was, the staff were even better. Why do we like the Four Seasons so much--because the staff provide a level of service that we experience no where else. My wife told me that they made her feel like the most important person in the world. We want to go back to Austin, to spend more time at the Four Seasons and to spend more time in this very special city.

"Perfect Location with Excellent Service"
I stayed here with a friend Friday and Saturday nights. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring downtown. It was an easy walk to the Capital, and very close to 4th and 6th streets. The service was exceptional from the valet when I first arrived, to the front desk staff, the wait staff at breakfast, the bartender for the nightcap, and the behind the scenes staff.

"Wow so comfortable for a business traveler, as well as the leisure traveler!"
Everyone was so helpful and patient with me at check in because I was jet lagged from flying all day from Europe. The wonderful owner checked me in personally and oferred me a nice glass of Texas wine, which I accepted with gratitude after my long day. I felt at home and very comfortable immediately! Thank you Pearl Street for your hospitality, comfortable and clean room, resonable rates, good light breakfast to start my day. It was so much more then expected and more then what I would have received from a "regular" stuffy hotel. I plan on returning soon. THANK YOU...

"beautiful and sophisticated hotel"
this is a great hotel! I loved our room which overlooked Hill country. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but that was minor. Location of hotel is excellent; hotel, itself, is beautiful; staff is very professional and helpful; elevators are quick; food was delicious from the small take-out restaurant. couldn't find anything wrong with the hotel and we hope to stay there again since my son lives in austin.

"Really great for a get-away"
This is an excellent hotel. My wife and I stayed here for just a quick one-night get-away and were quite pleased. They let us check-in early at noon which was unexpected. The room was clean, the bathroom is fantastic with a big walk-in shower. The bed was perfect with comfy pillows. The view is nothing to write home about. They brought us new bath towels very quickly when we wanted more in the morning. The brunch at Urban (the in-hotel restaurant) was fantastic and a great treat for the money. Only drawbacks were that if you're going to be hanging out by the pool, the hotel really doesn't cater to you THAT well. They don't have frozen drinks at the bar which is what you want when you're having fun in the sun by the pool, and when my wife ordered food she had to stay at the bar and wait. They didn't offer to bring it out to us. We've been to less expensive hotels in the past that were great about having pool-side service so we were slightly put-off. Also, the thermostat said it was 67 degrees but it definitely wasn't. It was still comfortable in the room but when we stay in a hotel we always put it really cold b/c that's a luxury so it could've been colder. Other than those small things, this is a fantastic stay for a fun trip to north Austin.
