"Excellent"
This was one of the best hotels I have ever been in and I have traveled a great deal here and in Europe. Staff great, location, location was excellent. I would definitely go back.

"Elegant historic ambiance"
I knew from the moment we arrived we made the right choice. Loved the grand staircase! Room was cahrming, original wood floors, clawfoot tub and black and white checkerboard tile floor in bath, comfy bed. Bell staff noticed we had our bikes in the back of our van and offered to store them for us, suggested a route for an early morning ride. One reason we chose this hotel was its proximity to Starbucks, the meeting place for the family friendly ghost tour. Close to restaurants, shops, everything!

"This hotel is a nice boutique, great for a family stay"
Good service, forgot my daughter's DVDs at the hotel, they found them and shipped out the next day. Great pizza place on the corner. Easy walking distance to the waterfront, all around good experience.

"Awesome location, clean and comfortable"
Great location, room was clean and comfortable though a little dated. Staff was superb-we were celebrating a birthday weekend in Savannah and they gave us a bunch of little extras that really made a difference. Our room was on the corner of the building and had a view of both the river and downtown. The parking was a bit of an issue and expensive, but not enough to ruin our trip.

"East Bay Inn and Savannah"
My wife and I recently stayed at this great old Inn. The location was great, just across the street from the riverwalk, and around 5 blocks from the City Market center. The room was clean and full of character. Wood floors, exposed brick, antique furnishings. The staff was warm and inviting. Each evening they have complementary wine and snacks in the lobby, a great way to meet other guest's and share experiences. Breakfast is also included. Our room cost $less then it would have cost to stay across the street! Restaurants - I didn't eat at the hotel, but some other guest's that we met at one of the wine receptions said it was great. I recommend that if you can, you have to try a place called Mrs. Wilks, this place was the bomb. Only open 11am to 2pm, Monday thru Friday, and you have to get there early, a line forms quick for this place, but it is worth the wait. One thing about Savannah (and the south in general) is that the people are friendly and proud of their city. Ask a local and most times they won't stear you wrong, that's how we found Mrs. Wilks place! We were also told to avoid Paula Dean's place, apparenty she is too busy to keep up with her restaurant... she is even getting into the furniture business now. One more place to try, A martini bar called Jenni and Friends, Great place and reasonable! 100 different Martinis, located on Bull street about 5 blocks up from the riverfront. Jenni works day's and Mary Ann at night, a real fun place. Try a caramel apple, or a PB&J martini... Cheers!

"Biggest bed ever"
My girlfriend and I loved it here! Great staff, very friendly, and in the perfect location for being tourist-y. Many people are put off by the valet-only parking, but the valets are pretty great guys and know a lot about the area if you talk to them. The KING SIZED BED was pretty fabulous too. I apologize to the neighbors who misinterpreted the thumping headboard, squeaky mattress, and giggling as something much different.

"Unique Inn with Nice People"
We found the Olde Harbour Inn to be a unique surprise. It was not like a hotel room but rather a condominium. However, there were some issues. Our room was ready when we arrived but we did not like the bottom (2nd) floor view. The Desk Clerk said it was a room with a view but did not mention only if you look closely between two buildings could you see the river. We were moved to the top (4th) floor which also had a small balcony. MUCH better but this time we discovered the room had not been cleaned. We left and waited for the room to be cleaned but found only the linens had been changed. No vacuuming or washing dishes. Generally, our room was very dirty...floors (especially the bathroom floor), dishes, refrigerator handle, soiled furniture, etc. Even on the second day nothing was was done but the bed and bath linens. Other than poor cleaning, the staff was very nice and added to our enjoyment. The wine and cheese reception and the morning breakfast with other guests was a nice touch.
