"tHIS HOTEL MADE ME FEEL WELCOME"
This hotel was very nice, but a lot of construction going on. The rooms were comfy, but the updates were not up tp par. We waited for towels one night for twenty minutes. The cleaning crew forgot to leave us any new ones. The views of San Diego were spectacular.

"Convenient but noisy and smelly"
I recently stayed at this hotel for a conference at the San Diego Convention Center. The location was extremely convenient, just a 5 minute walk to the Center. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, an a trolley stop. However, the hotel is near the Gaslamp area which gets really noisy at night. I had a room in the rear part of the hotel and I was still tossing and turning all night because of the noise. I didn't feel too safe either, to be honest, as the hotel was a bit empty. The room, however, was comfy and had all the amenities. But it smelled like old potpourri!! It triggered my allergies, and the smell got stuck to my hair and cloth until I went back home. Overall, I'll stay there again because of the convenience and price, but would bring some air freshener and ear plugs.

"Everything we expected and so much more!!"
The Country Club golf courses were very peaceful and provided great walking trails with a pond and ducks, sound of birds and beautiful palm trees. Everyone was kind and willing to ensure an enjoyable visit. We were a short distance from Solana Beach, the shoreline  provided a relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely visit again.

"Mostly perfect"
We were very pleased with the hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful, Steve suggested we see La Jolla Cove during our trip, he informed us that it was pup season for the seals and that it was a great time to visit; he was right! The parking was excellent, very spacious lot with spots directly in front of the rooms (we were never bothered by car lights). The room was very clean and well furnished and provided a comfortable environment. However, I must say the beds were awful. They felt old, worn out, and very hard. We were in room 147. Maybe other rooms have newer, more comfortable beds? I came close to asking for a room - switch but we did not feel like moving our luggage again (we were exhausted and had just left an awful nearby hotel, California Suites, due to a poor series of experiences). Yes, a comfortable bed is one of the most important aspects to a hotel but we still were very happy with this Ramada. If you're a stomach or back sleeper then you may not be as bothered, but side sleepers will be hurting. I would suggest checking the beds before bringing in your luggage (which is probably an obvious step that my wife and I overlooked).

"A good hotel"
Continental breakfast served on a nice rooftop with nice views of the Gaslamp quarter. The breakfast starts at 7:00 am (I missed this most mornings because I had meeting starting at 7:30 at the Convention Center).  There is a good 24 hour restaurant a few hundred feet from the hotel, however (Bryan's 24), that has a lively early-morning atmosphere.  No pool.  Hotel Internet was spotty, and had to be paid for (Bryan's was free and pretty reliable).  My room was on the streetside, with lots of loud bars right next to the hotel, so it was pretty noisy past midnight - a room across the hall would have been quieter.  Also, my room was the closest to the elevators, and shaped so that the head of my bed was only about 10 feet from the elevator doors - so there was a lot of hallway noise through the night.
